How to calculate how many rolls of wallpaper you need

Do you need to convert feet to metres first? Use our feet to metres converter below.

  1. Measure the height of the room, in metres e.g. (2.4), measuring from the coving/cornice or ceiling to the top of the skirting boards. Enter this figure into the Wall height in the calculator below.
  2. Now measure the perimeter of the room, in metres, including windows and doors. Enter this figure into the Room perimeter in the calculator below.
  3. Once you have entered both your numbers into the calculator below, press the calculate button for the results. This calculator gives an estimate and allows for an additional 10% for wastage.
