    I measured the wall in ft, this caluclator was brill, I had guessed one roll but there is a match on it and I wasnt sure to chance the one roll or not and this calculator confirmed my thoughts as you also added 10% waste.

    Very helpful. It passes the Ronseal test – it calculates rolls of wallpaper.

    Good within its limitations. But still couldn’t work out how much paper needed allowing for large-ish pattern repeat.

    With so many pattens and drops it is hard to take them all into account without making the calculator much more complicated and involved, the aim of the calculator is to be as quick and easy and as accurate as possible.

    Thanks for using and commenting on our calculator.

    This was particularly helpful as we have a hall with four different heights to calculate. Hurrah!

    Really helpful tool. Easy to use and quick as I had different wall heights to calculate. Although my chosen paper has a large pattern I feel confident in just adding an extra roll as 10% may not be enough.
    Also other areas of the website gave useful information about decorating tips.

    So easy to use, as none of the big stores have a chart like they used to have, so you have to find someone to do it for you.

    Good one. I know it’s a fairly basic calc, but could it be modified to take your ft/inches measurments direct?

    Have already told others about your site. Thanks!!

    Many thanks for the calculator, easy to use. I had to make THREE lots of calculations as we’ll have a fireplace feature, so one wallpaper. The rest of that wall in another wallpaper, then the rest of the room in a third. I immediately realised the height for three would be the same and the two side walls in total I could add to the wall opposite the fireplace, but it was hard measuring without someone else on the other end of the tape measure – the dog wouldn’t help me! But the calculations are now a great help and I’ll email the site address to others. If I can do it anyone can, with your help!!!!! Oh and I’ve phoned hubby to tell him what we are doing this weekend NOW!

    Good, if not better than most on the internet BUT, I have fairly wide patio doors and double doors in the lounge and there is no way of removing these from the calculations

    @E.Bridges

    Glad you found the wallpaper calculator helpful. The calculator was designed to be as easy and useful as possible, there are lots of different pattern repeats and other factors to consider when measuring for wallpaper, unfortunately not all of these can be factored in.

    A way around this is to measure the area you don’t wish to paper and enter these into the calculator, lets say it gives a result of 2 rolls, then you can simply subtract this from the original figure.
    Hope that helps.

    Calculator did not allow for differing wall heights

  28. Adrian Says:

    @John

    When I designed the calculator I wanted it to be as simple as possible and not over complicate things. It is best to take the highest point as your wall height, but if there are big variations then split it into sections and measure them as “individual” walls.
